1. The Hate List began almost as a joke. How did it become so deadly?
The hate list is a list of people that Valerie and Nick don't like or were mean to them. The night before the shootings Val and Nick were talking to one another over the phone and they were talking about some of the people on the list. Nick then made the statement that he could easily kill all of them with a bullet in their brains, they both laughed at this. The next day when they were at school Val noticed Nick was acting strange, she told him that her MP3 player was smashed by her “nemesis” Christey Bruter and when nick went to confront her he shot her and the killings started. Nick started going after people on their hate list and would kill anyone that got in his way. I think that this kind of thing would never happen to my school because I seriously doubt that a kid would get so fed up with his life that he would go on a killing rampage. Much less even get a gun in the first place, i could understand not liking people but killing people is just really wrong to me.
